@tjg Eh, what's the alternative? "line-item"? Opt-out being possible doesn't change what the item normally requires. It stipulates that arbitration is _required_ (as in you must use arbitration).

A couple quotes [zacwe.st] From The Lies of Locke Lamora: “Bug,” Calo said, “Locke is like a brother to us, and our love for him has no bounds. And from Red Seas Under Red Skies: “What? How about that, huh?”

Cleaning up old branches [zacwe.st] My local git repository is full of branches which have long-since been merged: code review, one-off features, and quick bug fixes add up really quickly. Deleting these branches is cumbersome.

Back to Safari [zacwe.st] Chrome arriving on Mac was an amazing upgrade in the normal browsing experience. However, Safari's new features and battery savings in Mavericks prodded me into giving it another try.

Getting into fantasy [zacwe.st] Science fiction has always been my favorite genre. I enjoy imagining possible futures and I've never stopped wondering what changes may happen in my lifetime. Fantasy is similar, but different.

@boredzo The biggest reason I don’t donate blood is they still discriminate against the person donating. Gay men, for example, cannot donate blood. Plus it’s about $400 revenue for then and I get an orange juice and maybe a cookie.

@kyleve literally hours of my life have been spent debugging parent/child issues.

Google Reader was the last non-search Google product I used on a regular basis. I have been converting from Gmail, left Calendar and contact sync, and abandoned most things turned to G+. I guess I am not the target demographic anymore.

@zadr “Applications that play audio-only movies can continue playing while in the background using the techniques discussed in this document.” Do you qualify for that?

@zadr Did they actively ignore it (and you?) or were they just not aware of it?

My favorite documentation note for lower level frameworks: “This function is equivalent to CFRetain, except that it does not cause an error if the … parameter is NULL.”

Today is my last day at Post+Beam. 2013 is going to be very exciting.

@jazzychad Considering 90% of their work was accomplished by a third-party API, do they have 0.5 developers working on their iOS application? Yikes.

Songs that don't work substituting "butt" for a lyric: "Look into my butt". Unless you're a gerbil fan.

Thinking about adding a "finally" block to my server requests (on top of a success and error block). I keep creating local blocks to perform the same actions in error or success cases.
