    @indigo Interestingly I read it was started by someone voting Leave before the referendum, and was then adopted by people who voted Remain. At the moment it's a clear sign of sentiment rather than expectation of result... @johnpatkinson @blumenkraft

      @johnpatkinson Yep. He dragged the whole country into his tawdry party political BS, then walks away from it. But, it does provide for some breathing space, which might be *the* most important thing he's done as PM.

        @johnpatkinson That might be another reason he's resigned.. Johnson is probably used to explaining how a person saying something doesn't always mean they meant it by now.. ;-)

          @indigo I they they must have better PR people?! @johnpatkinson @joanna @mrshaiku

            @indigo Yep. Dad is a sort of brown/white combination, so he's obviously passed along some of the white too.. @johnpatkinson @joanna @mrshaiku

                  @cgiffard Thanks, but unfortunate choice of expletive! ;-)

                    current status: mild food poisoning/bug prognosis: nap, use hotel's late checkout, WFH during afternoon if well enough

                      @cgiffard I agree - easy defaults, but some more power under the hood if you go looking...

                        @cgiffard I'm not saying it all has to be built to start, but worth doing a proper 'requirements definition' step to understand the pros/cons of each bit better, and to understand future development options...
                        ukhaiku
                          @cgiffard I suspect you'd need a range of states of 'trust' - things like 'verified in person' etc... That lets you build something like a red/amber/green system...
                          ukhaiku
                            @cgiffard I know distributed messaging has some solutions, but it sounded like you also wanted to tackle distributed identity management too, which is (at least) an order of magnitude more challenging!

                              @cgiffard p.s. I'm not a super technical person, but I know enterprise and solution architecture, and I'm happy to help as part of your 'brain trust' on this...

                                @cgiffard It you discount commercial interests I'm sure some people are looking at it, but it's a difficult, difficult problem to solve. There may be some pertinent Computer Science papers...?

                                  @pme *sigh* That about covers it, yep. :-(

                                    @larand Given what's happening in the UK at the moment I can't even claim the sanity high ground at the moment, but even so, WTaF?!
