“The [result/conclusion/answer] may surprise you.” No. Only thing that’d surprise me is if I read an article pushed in this way

An accurate headline: “Apple Adds Subset of Channels’ Contents for Subset of Apple TV Users.”

“In my view, the entire function of a critic is to express opinion!” Yes, yes, and more yes. https://www.yahoo.com/tech/ask-pogue-the-duties-of-a-critic-83379933692.html

It makes sense for Google to have an anti-death project since most of their business practices make one sick. :/

If Flickr wants to compete with Picturelife-type services it needs a timeline.

It’s time for you all to face it: you’re never getting the word “literally” back.

@ronnie Only thing that would make me happy is if Everpix came back. :-) :-| :-( :'-(
                treestman
@ronnie Understood. In my case if Picturelife dies maybe I'll just use Flickr. I really like Flickr but prferred to use it for just a small subset of shots.
                  treestman
@ronnie But you're willing to now?
                    treestman
@ronnie Are you already a Dropbox user?
                      treestman
@charl @ronnie Easy to dump photos from multiple people/sources into one account and then find, share edit, etc. I don't want it tied to a single higher cloud drive since multiple people are involved.
                        treestman
@ronnie I do something similar using OneDrive, but that's just backup. What I want is a dedicated service focusing on photos, not something hung off yet another cloud drive.
                          treestman
@ronnie Probably, and then I'm done with this BS. I'm not searching for another such service.

This isn't the usual "we've been acquired but will remain the same service you love". It's "we've been acquired now get off our servers."

Heck, Loom isn't even *trying* to act like they care. "You're moving to Carousel within a month, deal with it."
                                treestman
Loom sells all your photos. Naturally, the tech press wets itself over how good this is for you. :/
                                  treestman
If Picturelife goes under or is sold, I think I'm done with the photo-site Merry Go Round.

I left Loom a couple months back for Picturelife, not sure how I'd have felt about this. http://www.macstories.net/news/dropbox-acquires-loom/
