@neilco There isn't a lot of documentation out there about building networking stuff in Swift. I've found a few things like Vapor, but I think Node is easier for a total beginner like me to get stuff done with; there is more literature and help out there.
@neilco awesome. That's the conclusion I was coming to. I've been using Parse to talk to APNS but I'm going to have to build another solution. I got some testing to do 😊 Complete noob question: is TLS possible with NSURLSession?
@neilco oooh I'm a little thick. I guess I might have to actually look into this, thanks. Any way you might know how to keep a persistent stream open, say to ADNs stream endpoint or to APNS? I'm furiously googling lol
@duerig thankfully, I just have one full time job and an occasional part time job. My simple iOS stuff is mentally stimulating enough for my downtime. How do you work on backend protocols? Like in a terminal or something or which language?
