Fun in the sun with colors, polygons and other junk. Second weekly wallpaper, 'Chroma', is now out on my blog: http://dewith.com/2014/a-wallpaper-a-week-ii-chroma/photos.app.net/22469696/1

Was cursing at my computer and Apple and iMessage for just consistently not working and being a total uncooperative piece of shit... Yeah, the Macbook wi-fi was off. Hum.

Excellent transparency report from Dropbox. We should expect other companies to do it like this. https://www.dropbox.com/transparency

If you are wondering how Google Play Books stacks up vs iBookstore, both are garbage: plenty of books that are utterly broken and are 'designed' without any apparent attention to function or detail: — photos.app.net/22263595/1

A little sad to see the VAIO part of Sony spun off and sold. My old Vaio UX UMPC was super cool: a full PC in a tiny package with a 'retina' screen, fingerprint reader, cellular wireless, two cameras and more... all before the iPhone! http://bit.ly/1ivNEIz

New project: A wallpaper a week. I hope to keep some creative juices flowing by committing myself to making a simple wallpaper every week. Grab the first one, 'Underdark' from my website: http://bit.ly/1fwfbXBphotos.app.net/21811971/1

Why is FaceTime still one of the top paid Mac apps in the Mac App Store? Seems odd. — photos.app.net/21704625/1

I use a revolutionary service called 'asdf' to push images to my phone. I drag a PNG on Mail in OS X, address asdf (aliased to me) and type 'asdf' in the subject, and boom. Currently in stealth phase, seeking investors @ 200MM valuation.

@dubnukem EVE Online is a ton of fun to read about, watch, write about but the actual 'gameplay' is not a lot of game nor play.

(the total sum of destroyed ships in that battle was about half a million bucks if you convert in game ISK to real dollars: http://www.ibtimes.com/eve-online-battle-cost-virtual-war-damages-valued-500000-1551788)

@garrettmurray likewise, updated security across the board. Don't forget updating software, too.

@sandwich @mrgan totally agree. Ads *can* be tasteful. I'll have to see it to believe it, though... Maybe I'm just too used to printed ads being so, so bad.

Somewhere an entrepreneur begins to text a friend asking where he is and starts uncontrollably yelling “why isn’t this disrupted yet! Whyyyy” and starts foaming at the mouth, screaming in the coffee shop.

To clarify, -to me- this is a bad idea. It may work for a lot of people, but this is completely unappealing to me. Clever idea, cool stuff, wish them all the best.

So we're a fan of ad-supported businesses now? I, for one, think Flag is a very bad idea. Can't see tasteful ads coming to this at all. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1306413684/flag-the-app-that-prints-and-mails-your-photos-for
