    @zero “Version numbers already don’t matter all that much. Eventually they won’t matter at all.” —Andrew Nacin [www.poststat.us]

      when a platform launches that removes that complexity for web service apps in a significant way will upset the web app economy in the same way the app store upset the app economy. you can bet on it.

        api, data storage, backup, payments, subscription plans, admin dashboards, user management, sign in, sign up, password admin, email to reset, stats, logs, SSL certs, … oh, yeah, and the actual app — i should probably work on that for a while too.

          @zero Escpecially with web apps

            @zero Good point. I suppose I think of everything in Semantic Versioning terms.

              @zero I think they are being tricked into thinking that these are big updates.

                @bryanjclark I’d reach out to the support team. They are very receptive and very busy right now.

                  Both of these apps are doing version numbers incorrectly. Image [photos.app.net]

                    The a6000 has a nice feature to mirror the viewfinder to your phone. I snapped this shot on accident, but it turned out well enough. photos.app.net/28722598/1

                      I bought a Sony Alpha a6000 today. Amazon didn’t have one to fulfill my preorder, but I called a local camera shop minutes after they received a delivery and purchased one locally.

                        @birchtree Agreed. I just tried the current repair tool and it performed far worse then Photoshop on the same picture. I know Photoshop has a fine repair tool, but it doesn’t work as well as Pixelmator’s demo showed. Maybe I’m getting my hops up too much.

                          The new Pixelmator repair tool [www.pixelmator.com] looks magical. I can’t believe it until I’ve tried it.

                            Surprise surprise, I found a bug in the latest version of the WordPress Jetpack plugin. It affects the “like” button that just says “loading” for infinity. @scottsmith noticed if you make any edit to a post and save it, the issue goes away.

                              @thomasbrand Looks like it should be easy to verify it.

                                Day 2 of using Sketch instead of Photoshop - and it’s going *really* well. I think I’m sold. Next up: getting @strike to convert.

                                  Siri dictation really needs to parse and punctuate my sentences to be completely useful.

                                      @zero Yes, but previous incarnations were generally well-received. This phones has had multiple negative reviews which makes me have hope for the smartphone industry. Samsung’s attitude and MO is a cancer.
