Just had a mock exam for my web unit. Question on SEO: "Which of these is the best SEO technique?". None of the answers was "Make good content that people will want to read".

@rmlewisuk As it is a mock you should have created your own answer :)

@rmlewisuk the plan must have been to only give you a bunch of mock answers to choose from.

@rmlewisuk @kajp what answers were provided?

@bojan @kajp Submit to indexing sites, Offer promotions (?!), exchange links and something else. It concerns me that in two years, no one has mentioned anything about the actual content and the affect that has on SEO.

@rmlewisuk @kajp well the only part of the content that Google can see, is where you are linking and what's your on page SEO. Making great content is more like social media game, than SEO. SEO is mostly back linking.

@rmlewisuk @kajp you can rank the worse content there is if you have the right back linking structure. Content is overrated if you want to rank. It's awesome if you want to deliver value.
