I took the plunge and bought a DNA test from @23andMe. I may be able to use the results in future Web apps: http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/coming-soon-apps-that-use-your-dna.php #genomics

I haven't been this excited about innovation in Web publishing since the early, experimental days of blogging, when I started ReadWriteWeb circa 2002-03. Here's why: http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/the-reimagination-of-publishing.php

Either the pipes are clogged, or App.net to Twitter via IFTTT isn't working for me...
              ricmac
@mario could do, must admit I haven't used Twitterfeed in a while. If I'm using IFTTT, what would be a use case for Twitterfeed/App.net for me to try?

Testing posting to App.net and having it sent to Twitter automatically via ifttt.com. (take 2)

OPEN QUESTION to all App.net early adopters: what are your favorite App.net third party apps so far? I've become very fond of State, a kind of TweetDeck/Netvibes. Keen to hear what others like so far...
                        ricmac
@henry I'm liking it a lot. I'm pretty frustrated with TweetDeck right now (esp it's sync issues), so I too am thinking along those lines.

Test post to App.net from State.

@dalton @matthooper I was looking before too for the State founders. Which reminds me: is an internal search coming soon to the Alpha?

@timhaines @dalton We'd certainly be willing to add our feed. Ideally it would be done automatically via RSS, since our poor Community Mger Robyn has enough to do already :)
