    Added a pixel count and density diagram for iPhone 5, Droid DNA, iPad 4, and theoretical @ 4X iPhone to the post http://www.imore.com/5-inch-1080p-440ppi-android-phones-coming-us-blowing-past-iphone-5-retina

      @reneritchie @3x would work fine, you just can't do non-integer scaling cleanly.

        @reneritchie new Droid DNA looks very nice.

          @reneritchie While you’re at it… This is the calculation I did reading your article originally: 2272 × 1280 = 2 908 160 2024 × 1536 = 3 108 864 1920 × 1080 = 2 073 600

              @reneritchie What grid? If the screen is 960x1704, one point is 3 hardware pixels. They'll look fine, you can even try it by zooming your Mac screen. I think you're getting confused by the subpixels, which aren't visible at that scale.

                @mdhughes Yeah, no, sorry, I was thinking backwards (downscaling from 3x to 1x). Ignore that post :)

                  @reneritchie Until I did the multiplication, I did not realize that Retina iPad is a 1/3 bigger still than that DNA.
