@dorward every so often. People are used to getting stuff for nothing. I think the tide is turning though as people are realising if they don't pay for a thing it might not be there in future.

I just love it when people raise support tickets in order to be angry with us for having the nerve to charge for our product.

Probably the most infuriating web hosting related thing to deal with in support is a host who does not make the PHP error log available to customers who are running PHP.

a strange thing, adding the term dates to the calendar for what is most likely to be my daughter's last year at school. Will be glad once she has done her college auditions and we know what's next.

@nathanpitman no ... essentially they are expecting people to pay for the privilege of speaking at their conference. Even small community conferences don't do that.

@rachelandrew it's a very expensive conference. To be honest unless a conference is on my doorstep, even community ones normally pay transport and accommodation. I can't justify going otherwise. It already costs me in time.

So what do we think about conferences that don't pay; or for travel; and are only willing to fund 1 night in a hotel (it's a flight away). Am I being a diva telling them that isn't ok? (it's not a community type conference)
