@severinggecko Ugh. I'm reminded of the computer shop I worked at.

@severinggecko Remember to constantly refresh your first world browser on your first world computer or first world smart phone whilst sipping third world coffee. Good coffee, amirite?

@keita Watch. Still only expecting it when I'm in Montreal in June because UPS hates me.

@danv2 I was hinting about the inside.

@akulbe Says the guy who still supports a VB 6 Windows application. So I'll go hide in the corner now.

@danv2 Which side of the door is that exactly?

@akulbe In retrospect I was tired when I wrote that and thought your friend was asking for help in solving problems using "Classic" ASP, so I wasn't exactly volunteering to take on work. Surprised something that insecure still has a big market.

@keita Yeah, you're right. They got it backwards.

I mention this not to drive traffic to my company site (the post isn't even live yet), but to think aloud that life is short and the best we can do is the best we can do. Help others if you can. Life is a fatal disease. There is no cure.

I've had a melancholy April, with a friend in the SQL Server community dying at the beginning of the month. I have paid tribute to him in a post that will be published on Tuesday. It's my way of keeping his memory alive.

@akulbe I used to write this. I'm not sure I should be telling you though.

Saw Carmen today, courtesy of Calgary Opera. The two leads couldn't sing due to illness, so there were stand-ins who sang off stage while they performed. It was a unique opera experience. The show must go on, indeed.

@streakmachine Never played them. I was getting into gaming at the end of 2011 and bought them both, and then I became a SQL Server consultant instead. @joeo10
