    @jextxadore A restaurant in Melbourne has installed three custom-made concave induction cookers especially for use with woks. Pretty serious stuff, each installation cost $22,000. Keeps the heat in the kitchen down, amongst other benefits.

      @fortunebot: Who was that masked man?” I believe it was The Mongolian Stomper.

        @morrick Weblock needs iOS 7 as a minimum. I guess that's not necessarily 64-bit.

          I have a vague recollection there may well be a small cast-iron frypan & an enamelled steel kettle out in the camping supplies in the garage. This induction hob will see plenty of use.

            The old 1970s enamelled steel crockpot & small saucepan work really well on the induction hob. As do two new 16 & 20 cm pans. The latter is the right soze to take the two steamer (perforated bottom) pans from my stainless steel cookware.

              @mklopez @hybotics I used to work with a fellow whose wife's name actually was Honey.

                One very large frypan, one mediun & one small wok pans and one medium saucepans so far have proven to work on the induction hob. #HelloStirfry

                  Bought a single-element induction hob at Aldi for $50. it has 8 preset power levels up to 2100W& can take cookware between 12 & 26 cm diameter. Of course, my stainless steel cookware is useless on it but I have other items that are OK.

                    @ukhaiku I removed it from its proper location & put it on the bedside table for an in-bed backup. It fell off & was under the bed.

                      There's a cupboard where I keep the backup drive s for my MacBook Air. One of the HDs was definitely there 12 hours ago. But the fucker's gone now & I can't find it!

                        @ukhaiku Quite a lot of the trip was spent at or near the 110 kph speed limit, too. Normally I travel on slower routes with 100 kph max.

                          Realised at 8:30pm that I'd run out of osteoarthritis meds. Concerned I'd have to pay the higher price in a supermarket rather than a pharmacy. Then I noticed the new discount chemist in the main street was open until 9:00 pm. All fixed.

                            Just refuelled after the weekend trip. In all, used 86 litres & went 1457 km. That's 5.9 l/100 km or near enough to 48 mpg. That's with two people & their luggage. 50% of the time the A/C was running as a defogger.

                                  @0xmf Back is OK, knee survived, was better at the end of the trip than at the start, I changed the dosage & frequency of medication. TTwo slow-release pills every 8 hours instead of three each 12 hours.
