        Has @riposte discussed sharing of this polished, excellent iOS interface with any of the crummy open source social efforts (pump.io/gnu social) out there?

                @33mhz I agree overall. I mostly think the protocols shouldn't be owned by private companies. As for the messiness: imagine if the polish of things like @riposte or tweetbot existed for open source tools. Engineers may scoff at design, but it's needed

                  @33mhz I'm feel more and more that all social messaging apps should built on open and/or free protocols. That said, the FSF needs help on that front
