@matigo I think that maybe even safe to use here, I am not sure. I know the GFW has got smarter lately.

@matigo just out of interest, which VPN protocol are you using?

Back at hospital again getting my chest checked out because I am still not better. More blood tests and CT scan is on the menu today.

@hybotics Wahoo! I have started my day with a positive and happy mind! This is great news.

@mttmccb I would have got less time for murder! ;)
            paulgit
If my memory is right, I met my wife 15 years ago today in a tiny little bar in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China. I would have got less time for murder
              paulgit
@matigo I think that also applies to Korea and to a lesser extent China!
                paulgit
@matigo I passed the test, I even have a certificate! I will save the 'Competition Law' training until tomorrow. That could be tricky for me because I have good friends working at most competitors!
                  paulgit
This 'Anti-Corruption' training is basically describing how business is done in China.....
                    paulgit
Decided to venture into the office today, although not 100% fit I feel magnitudes better. The first task today is to complete 'Anti-Corruption' training!
                      paulgit
@keita that's capitalism! Healthcare costs is a huge problem for those who cannot afford it, I'm not sure there is a solution that fits all. I think even in the UK with its socialised healthcare you eventually get charged for calling an ambulance.
                        paulgit
@keita at first I thought this sounded excessive, however thinking about it, it seems a reasonable price to pay to have highly trained paramedics and life saving equipment and medicine rushed to your location!
                          paulgit
I'm trying to decide if I should try and have an easy day out of my recovery bed in preparation of maybe returning to work tomorrow. I feel better but my chest is far from 100%
                            paulgit
@matigo one good thing about China is they eat everything with legs so such beasts won't make it to my apartment on 13th floor @smc
                              paulgit
@matigo it's really the element of suprise, if I opened a cupboard and saw that thing I will break the 100 metre sprint record @smc
                                paulgit
@smc this is why I'll never go to Oz
                                  paulgit
@ukhaiku I think I left it too late on the chest infection. I often get them after a cold and this time the normal antibiotics I take had no effect after 3 days then I went to hospital. Next time I will be at hospital on day 1. @mttmccb
                                    paulgit
@ukhaiku I think it's better than most, the rules of employment are worded in a way that it's down to management discretion after the 3 days. But what it also means is sick people come to work and spread germs. I guess it's a way to stop abusers @indigo
                                      paulgit
@ukhaiku I only get 3 paid sick days a year and I could well use them up this week (last week was the Lunar New Year holiday) @indigo
                                        paulgit
@ukhaiku sounds like what I had last week…I hope it doesn’t take a turn for the worse like mine did. :(
