    Related: I have never been able to get used to trail running but I don't think I've given it a fair chance. Lots of great opportunities around here. Planning on being more diligent about it. Getting bored with the pavement.

      @patrickrhone I grew up in Colorado, and trail running is pretty much all we ever did. So much more enjoyable than the boring suburbs in my opinion.

        @shawnblanc @patrickrhone I can't agree more, trail-running is everything !

          @thibaut @shawnblanc Well, my regular route is one of the most beautiful urban streets in America: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summit_Avenue_(St._Paul)

            @thibaut @shawnblanc That said, I’m ready for some variety.

              @patrickrhone @shawnblanc Yes, but it can't match this kind of view (this summer in the Alps in France): http://i48.tinypic.com/t4y52q.jpg

                @shawnblanc @patrickrhone One of the best things about Colorado, for sure! Trail running breaks the monotony and is actually good for your ankles and knees.

                      @patrickrhone @thibaut @shawnblanc Not only do you get variety, but it lowers soreness and injury rates. At least it did for me, doubles my time out of the training room while I’m in season.

                        @patrickrhone That is indeed a nice route in the Twin Cities! I used to do Lake of the Isles and Lake Calhoun together. I miss Minnesota sometimes.

                          @justine The lakes area is beautiful (and popular) for running as well. I love living here. So many options.

                            @patrickrhone I do miss MN a lot sometimes. Minnehaha Park and along the river in downtown Minneapolis are also favorites.

                              @patrickrhone Trail running is fantastic. You don't run as fast, but everything is so much more varied and challenging. I'm addicted to it now.
