Stuck in that awkward place where everything is 90% done and 80% functional. Need to dig deep for extra focus.

OH: "If telling the user to go fuck themselves is an option, I think you'll find many problems are trivial."

@mkb You pay passively every time it goes to the moon, and also people pay EY a lot to Rails for them, was my point. ;) There should be some way to increase replication / mirroring. npm sucks in some ways, but basing itself on Couch was a good move.
          othiym23
@mkb Oh, you pay for it, all right. Where is it you work, again?
            othiym23
@rands so Things and Omnifocus are clearly still strong, but I think FoldedText has the potential to do great things. Rarely have I seen an app do so much with so little.

@mkb it can be made to work, but it pines for the DOM. Check out mocha, it can be very RSpec-like. Also look at chai (rich expectations DSL with plugins) and sinon (spies, mocks and stubs)

@mkb @adron Depends. If you’re only ever going to be in the browser, use Jasmine because everyone else does. If you might use Node, check out mocha (BDD / unit) or node-tap (integration / functional). Or just use Node’s built-in assert and write JS!
                  othiym23
@mkb That’s sort of an awesome feeling sometimes! It’s like deleting tests when you no longer need them!
                    othiym23
@adambrault how insane are you feeling, right now? (Really looking forward to redisconf / master class / realtimeconf!)

Not only did I have too much to dream last night, I woke up with “Too Much to Dream Last Night” playing in my head.

@glennf The first one sure is! He and Spielberg did great work on that! Together! As did Harrison Ford and Karen Allen!
                            othiym23
@glennf Lucas seems like a pretty good counter example to auteur theory.
                              othiym23
@glennf I don’t think he could ever write. Or direct actors. There was a time, though, when he could be obliged to collaborate, and helped make some pretty fine movies.

@adambrault I think you’re probably right, which is kind of sad. My favorite thing about Twitter is all the non-techy randomness like TPHD / weedhitler / rare_basement and the throngs of webcomic artists.
                                  othiym23
@adambrault Reddit vs Hacker News is a grim dichotomy indeed.
