        @mrgan Yup, that one is the worst. I think a restart of Messages.app fixes it. Doesn't make it any less annoying.

              @mrgan Wishing I took a screenshot of it but Messages on my Mac showed a “–1” badge yesterday. Negative WTF?

                  @anondson Oh, that happens all the time, and it's not just a simple off-by-one issue either; sometimes it'll say -5.

                      @mrgan I don’t understand how messages on the Mac can be so horrible. It seems to work well on ios.

                          @arthurlockman I'm sure it's a totally different team, and probably working from spec.

                              @mrgan most likely. Still I feel like it would have been better if they had left iChat as it was and just added connectivity to the iMessage service. It probably could’ve handled it with a few small tweaks. Just my two bits.

                                  @mrgan such a buggy app. And I love iMessage. Whenever I'm hungry I do a search in messages - grab a bite and hope it completes search by the time I come back.
