@johngordon Did they ever fix Photo Stream with 10.11 (or was it 10.10 that broke it)?
    mjtsai
@clarkgoble Oh, I remember those bugs. I think the 10.6 Finder was the first one that wasn't completely awful. I was using Path Finder until then.

@clarkgoble It did get more responsive. I just mean that I thought FTFF referred to supporting the OS 9–style usage.

@clarkgoble @jws @johngordon I thought it specifically referred to remembering icon and view settings, which is as broken as ever.

@johngordon It's nice on the 11-inch Air and on small VMware screens.
            mjtsai
@johngordon @jws Yeah, seems very doable but no product that I know of really does that.

@jws @johngordon What I like about calendars for this is that you know exactly where to find the info without having to name the list/file. No clutter afterwards but can always go back for reference if necessary.

@jws @johngordon Yeah. We heavily use the notes field: packing list, confirmation numbers, questions for doctor, etc.
                  mjtsai
@jws @johngordon We use shared calendars for a lot of the little stuff, even though it's not really "events."
                    mjtsai
@johngordon @jws We use a shared Dropbox folder and Google Docs/Sheets. Light use.
                      mjtsai
@johngordon It does save all the edit parameters in the oer file metadata. But without the Adobe engine you can't interpret most of them properly. Not their fault, though.

@johngordon Edits transfer to other Adobe apps, if that's what you mean.
                          mjtsai
@johngordon Overall, Lightroom is different but pretty nice.
                            mjtsai
@johngordon The promise of nondestructive edits only lasts as long as the app. :(
                              mjtsai
@johngordon I have all be edits, but they're baked in and association with RAW files is broken. Hierarchy intact.
                                mjtsai
@johngordon I'm fully switched to Lightroom and wouldn't run Sierra on my main Mac with photos, anyway.
                                  mjtsai
@johngordon I also see variable download speeds. Not sure what you can do.
                                    mjtsai
@clarkgoble @johngordon I don't really see evidence of fixing the little broken things in 10.11 and 10.12. If anything, more new bugs. Stuff I reported last fall still not fixed.
