@clarkgoble Oh, I remember those bugs. I think the 10.6 Finder was the first one that wasn't completely awful. I was using Path Finder until then.
@clarkgoble It did get more responsive. I just mean that I thought FTFF referred to supporting the OS 9–style usage.
@clarkgoble @jws @johngordon I thought it specifically referred to remembering icon and view settings, which is as broken as ever.
@jws @johngordon What I like about calendars for this is that you know exactly where to find the info without having to name the list/file. No clutter afterwards but can always go back for reference if necessary.
@jws @johngordon Yeah. We heavily use the notes field: packing list, confirmation numbers, questions for doctor, etc.
@jws @johngordon We use shared calendars for a lot of the little stuff, even though it's not really "events."
@johngordon It does save all the edit parameters in the oer file metadata. But without the Adobe engine you can't interpret most of them properly. Not their fault, though.
@johngordon I have all be edits, but they're baked in and association with RAW files is broken. Hierarchy intact.
@johngordon I'm fully switched to Lightroom and wouldn't run Sierra on my main Mac with photos, anyway.
@clarkgoble @johngordon I don't really see evidence of fixing the little broken things in 10.11 and 10.12. If anything, more new bugs. Stuff I reported last fall still not fixed.
@johngordon That’s been there for a long time: http://www.macworld.com/article/1132817/business/spotlight3.html
@martinsteiger @johngordon Thanks. I filed yesterday as well. Hopefully they will update the database.
