I didn't think you could get more wanky than white letter-boxed cropping in Instagram. I was wrong, new winner is circle cropping. UGGHGGHFHGHFJ

What are people using for lightweight flexible CMSs these days?

@jamesclark if you’re going to autopost every Instagram to ADN, at least set IFTTT to hashtag it so I can mute.

I finally clicked on how closures work and why they’re so useful.

Kind of a bummer that Apple has different developer programs for OS X and iOS. Really want to try out Mavericks, but also want iOS on-device testing. Not going to shell out for both though.

I know twitter.bootstrap is hardly the most original UI framework, but god it’s handy for whipping up functional prototypes that don’t look like balls.

Anybody had any experience using Atlassian's FishEye API? Trying to build another Panic Status Board widget.

CSSLint needs to chill the fuck out. There’s nothing wrong with using IDs or adjoining classes in CSS. Especially when you can’t target CSS3-only browsers.

So I just discovered there's a REST API available for the project I'm working on at the moment, but we have to use SOAP for no reason other than because REST use hasn’t been “authorised” big-business bureaucracy. GUUUH.

@pilky is also invariably cold and gross by that stage.

@pilky yep. Agreed there. Browser width is a far better metric.

@pilky what about “responsive” site designs? All the same content, just arranged better.

Brilliant idea from Microsoft: Illumiroom. Seem executable with low end hardware, too. http://www.theverge.com/2013/1/9/3855826/microsoft-illumiroom-projection-demo /via t@adambetts
