Private messages will be the next major API feature that we release. In the meantime, devs should start doing interesting things with the other recent API features: user annotations, interactions, stream markers, & the filter/streaming API.

Wonder which app will be the first to support them? >> MP @dalton: Private messages will be the next major API feature that we release. In the meantime, devs should start doing interesting things with the other recent API features...

@dalton Do you have examples, ideally apps, of devs who are already utilizing that other API interestingness?

@chartier @dalton Yes, excellent question (and the subtext to what I was thinking/saying that I failed to mention).

@dalton Slow down? My API request for the next 2 months is maintenance-only mode.

@dalton Cool!! After private messaging, some sort of list support and my personal list of wanted features would be complete 😊

@chartier lets see, I believe @appeio implemented interactions, and http://appnetizens.com/ has implemented User Annotations and Interactions -> https://alpha.app.net/adrianus/post/1526917

@chartier also the filter/streaming API is already powering a few things behind the scenes, I believe most iOS devs ported their push notification code to use the new API a few weeks ago.
