    When this place started, I had nothing else better to do than build something here. These days, I'm more busy with life, work and projects and trying to not let myself be so distracted by more 'networks' But I love *this* network. A lot. Back soon :)

      @33mhz kurento.org - Not totally stable yet (also see on 'develop' branch), but by far the best, most comprehensive (FOSS) solution I can find. Mind-bogglingly powerful. (Needs Ubuntu 14.04, for now)

        Anyone here tinkering with webRTC on a personal or commercial level? It's something I've had my eye on for many years. Soon to bloom, I think.

          @eyes i'm about to crash out. I saw The Ting Tings tonight.

            @sham yup. sometimes the things we have to concentrate on happen on different levels, mate :)

              @eyes o... m... g.. is it that time??

                @ryantharp but how to rate/judge it? Endpoint count? lol - Dev numbers? I think maybe human editorial might fare better than an algorithm maybe? ;) (eek : heinous thing to say) hmmm
                kosso
                  @ryantharp something like that. yes. that's the plan. but I like the concept of the 'top five' ones getting the 'apifive'/highfive some how. "API5!" (Naturally, it's a win-win for everyone. Devs and API providers)

                    @jvimedia and more :) The original server was a HEXACORE. (say it out loud, with a "raaaarr!" after) beast. I've tried various European dedicated servers, but rarely in the USA. Any info? (Not that you're in the US, of course) Ah.. the global 'cloud'.
                    kosso
                      @ryantharp high five ryan :) in fact, I own apifive dot com. I'd like to highlight 5 APIs at a a time. Or do a top 5. Or something. I dunno. :)

                        @jvimedia yeah. they're actually quite a bargain for what you can get, compared to others. it helps if you can *really* admin though. (ie: not rely on cpanel etc.)

                          @jnm I'm still alive. And "hurrah!" to that. I'll never stop having ideas. That's why I chose this business in 93. It's future-proof. :) Solutions evolve eventually. Thank fuck. :)

                            @jnm It's from Hetzner hetzner.de/en/hosting/produkte_rootserver/ex40 I just recently downgraded to this one, after a far more powerful option that I (and customers!) invested in. I hope I can invent some new ideas/products in the server-year remaining :)

                              All this push notification mullarkey. It's totes ridic. I personally don't like them, since I think it fuels the 'addiction' that so many of us try to avoid/congregate to. I have ideas on the 'next thing' I plan to do. You live. You share. You host.

                                ... yes, yes.. I know €49 isn't a lot. But.. it takes a lot more that €49 of my time to keep things running. (eg: push notifications themselves are a huge, huge 'real time', Global (truly) responsibility.)
