@knowsbest not just, but they were the first.

@yagankiely "Actually, piracy does make a statement — it’s just the wrong statement." Ok. But why?! WHY?!?! Tell me, please, I’m receptive to arguments. But not to groundless statements! Sorry, he hit a nerve.

@knowsbest no kidding. It was the same when he did a B&A ep. on it. Not a single argument only statements said as if his statements are facts and not simply his opinion. I had a go at it on a cidercast once.

@yagankiely I remember. Unfortunately his camouflaged truths actually kinda got me back then.

@knowsbest it’s as if he hasn’t actually thought about it at all, but has been brought up with it being wrong so he just assumes it is and goes from there.

@yagankiely But this is embarrassing. Yes, piracy is ideally not right, but come on - when has humanity ever preferred shit over gold? Makes no sense to pretend like moral is stronger than the other incentives - it’s not, and never will be.

@yagankiely Actually, forget anything I ever said about piracy. From now on I'll take the Swiss part of this debate.

@knowsbest piracy is only illegal because it’s illegal. There’s no necessity for it to be wrong. Illegal =/= immoral/unethical. It’s all relative & in a different future, the piracy might not exist because piracy can’t exist (legalised) or unneeded.

@knowsbest neutral until currency is involved?

@yagankiely Or, as we Europeans like to put it: neutral until it doesn't make a difference anymore.
