I know you all probably use your iPhones for this, but can any of you recommend a good, pocket-sized video camera? I don't need to produce a film, just catch clips for uploading to the web. I want them to look pretty decent.

@longstride If you can grab yourself a Flip. Maybe Amazon still has a few. Perfect for this job.

@longstride I've always favored the Sanyo Xacti line of cameras, but since Panasonic bought the company it's a bit harder to find them, bizarrely enough. Still, worth checking out: http://panasonic.net/avc/camcorder/dualcamera/product/hxdc10/

@thedan84 I like those, I’m just hesitant since they’re done for. It looks like they’ll be supported the rest of the year, so maybe it’s still a good buy. Thanks!

@longstride the Koday Playsport line of digital cameras have quality similar to an iPhone, but I would just get an iPod touch.

@longstride you’re right I do use my phone now, but it replaced the Flip camera, which could easily handle the task you outlined.

@longstride sorry I meant Kodak. (Yeah, I can't believe they are still a company either.)

@thedan84 @longstride beat me to it, sounds like Flip would be nice, but the lack of support going forward could be an issue. To me, it's still the best option.

@kevin_mac @longstride It is. Even if there is no more support it’s still a very nice device. I’ve got mine for 3 or 4 years now and it still works. Hope it stays this way.

@longstride I would get something that has good audio. I tried one of the Zoom handhelds. The audio is great but video not (maybe try the HD version). I just for an iRig mic for work and have been happy with the bit I played with it. What kind of videos?

@klug thanks, I'll look into those. Mostly shareable videos. I just want to be able to grab clips of my travels and share them on Vimeo or YouTube. Nothing intense, but I want the best quality I can afford.

Guys, the Q3HD looks like a good option for my camera question: http://www.amazon.com/Samson-Technologies-1080p-Handy-Camcorder/dp/B0046KOL14/ Thanks to @klug for mentioning it. iPod Touch would be good, but I don't want another iDevice.

@longstride that's a great price! Let me know how it goes. The audio is great on it.
