@aj I agree with @rygood, I'm glad they are active but it was too much. It reminded me of looking at a Twitter news stream. I want them to tell more of why I should care about the news and just not having it as an RSS feed.
@klug Your answer seems a bit different from @rygood ‘s, which I completely understand. The method of more info would clutter up the timeline for me and I’d had to sort through stories instead of headlines. Waste of time, IMO.
@klug@aj exactly. I use Alpha mainly for conversations and less as a news feed. That said, I do enjoy @jdalrymple's feed and he currently posts his new posts there. @verge was just too much at once. But it's not their fault like I said.
@rygood@aj I changed part of my post halfway though, not used to the 256 characters.
I don't know if it uses it for conversations, for me it was too much info at once. I use Twitter for more streaming news.
@klug Flooding your timeline is fair. But expecting the account to do more than post headlines is tough. I agree with @rygood , I use it as an RSS but also as a platform to spur conversation. I can’t move from Twitter to Alpha if no news outlets post here.
@aj@rygood Interesting, it's not my intention right now to ever get rid of Twitter (it's vital for my job). So I've had a different desire for ADN. It was fun to follow @verge to see some highlighted headlines.
