I'm waiting to see the JVM survive the language that spawned it. Kotlin, Scala, Clojure, etc can outlive Java. Some more so than others - Clojure already can live in Node, browser, and .NET environments.

Android was basically a Java clone... I vaguely followed the court decision but I don't know where Google is at now.
