The other reason I love Nest is because, like Uber, it foreshadows the wide array of industries that are ripe for disruptive new product.

That thing where you command click on a class name in Xcode and it takes you to a bizarro version of it from your DerivedData folder.

@mrgan Sorry, I had no idea. I misidentified which post you were replying to (that's why I asked).

@mrgan There was no misunderstanding on my part. Apple allows developers to use custom controls in their apps (Tweetbot is one such app).

@mrgan A thousand times no what? This is no different than Tweetbot using custom controls, just something I want to open source for developers to use in their apps. @marc @jaredsinclair

@marc My project Ornament is an attempt to provide a robust API for UI-styling, with sensible defaults. Still fleshing out table views, but navbars, action sheets, switches, alerts, and pickers are all planned. http://d.pr/v/HQtQ @kolin @jaredsinclair

Glossy chat bubbles aren’t skeuomorphic. They just look good. No one is trying to model what it looks like when we talk to each other.

Gotta say, Messages is still by far the worst looking app on iOS 7 (but might only be because it’s one of the few first-party apps I use).
