Github today released a free text editor called Atom [atom.io]. Currently available for OS X, later for Windows and Linux. It's along the lines of Sublime Text. Looks interesting, especially since there's been so little happening from the Sublime Text camp.

@jnm "I owe him a pint". When someone has grabbed onto your parachute as you free-fall to certain death, this is a bit of an understatement.

Just watched Blackhat [youtube.com]. The critics were divided but I loved it. Well filmed, good acting, realistic computing. Released on iTunes today, 15th June.

For all the app.net techies, Packt Publishing is giving a free ebook away every day, apparently forever: Free Learning | Packt Books [www.packtpub.com]. Most of them tend to be on niche subjects, but I've still had several good ones.

@michelelewis Thanks Michele. Ok, relatively speaking. I went through a terrible patch and was helped by the hospital. It’s such a crappy illness and so hard to shake off, but hey. I often wondered how you were doing. Glad you’re well.
