To be clear, this whole situation is Apple's problem. No matter who's being childish, it's Apple's ecosystem that's failing. Apple needs to find a way to get these devs to play nice or the devs will go out of business and that's bad for Apple.
@oluseyi@gaelicwizard@johngordon Even independent of rules there are lots of reasons to leave App Store. Updates happen immediately. You get upgrade pricing. You can contact your customers. Downside is no iCloud or a few related APIs.
@oluseyi@gaelicwizard@johngordon Honestly I think for a large number of apps on OS X it just makes far more sense to be outside the store. I can’t blame BBEdit for instance. I’ve started buying all my OS X apps outside of store if they offer it.

Apple's stupidity doesn't justify dev's stupidity. I really don't care who's fault it is; this bickering is a problem and needs to stop.
