        @johngordon He was mistaken but not deeply opposed. Someone did make a pull request that got merged, so it seems to be supported now, more or less.

                    @johngordon I haven’t seen much of it beyond your link. I just got to the thread late, so more RSS support had materialized.

                        @johngordon Bizzare. RSS support is roughly free with any database-backed blog as it's really just an alternative index template. Literally doesn't make sense to me why anyone deliberately excludes it.

                            @gaelicwizard Someone patched RSS into Discourse, but disappointing product leadership didn't understand value.

                                @johngordon It must've been a super-simple patch. The index is already generated by a template. The exact same code with a different template would generate RSS. Some people are too stuborn about all the wrong things.
