          Microsoft adopted Java quite aggressively in the late 90's ("MS Java"), why not do the same with Android today!?

                  @bazbt3 Hello! :) App.net is really nice — feels a lot like Twitter back in 2008. I'm planning to be more active over here once my Android app is closer to being finished :-)

                        @phoneboy Well, I'm kind of rewriting parts of Gravity in order to "learn" Android programming. I don't know if you could call this "porting", most probably not. But Android is pretty easy to learn .. and I'm quite fluent in Java after all :-)

                          Okay, so RSS isn't fading away just because Google Reader is discontinued — or is it? Where's the incentive to provide RSS feeds after all?
                          janole
                            @cksr Yes. I'm looking for alternatives now. Feedly seems to be one possibility. Maybe there will be something RSS-related added to App.net, too? Would be cool.

                              Playing with my birthday present: a Nexus 4. I'm just loving it. My app runs so fast & smooth on it … like #Gravity on the Nokia 808 ;-)

                                Shutdown of Google Reader because of a "lack of consumer appeal"? No way. The simple reason: RSS can't be controlled and monetized easily.

                                  So, will there be a Bing Reader soon!? ;-}

                                      @phoneboy Oh! Hm, I guess it's better to add "native" previewing anyways (like for twitpic etc.)

                                        Can Android really sustain as a platform without being on the desktop? What do you think? Would smartphones + tablets be enough?
