HAY GUYS, what's going on on this alternate social network?

I wrote almost 2,000 words on how to clone plants as an Ars staff blog, and next thing I knew, it became a weekend science feature. So… I guess keep an eye out for that this weekend. :P

@alicia No problem! I know the feeling of love/hate for Chicago. ;)

@powerllama For indoors, I very much recommend vermicomposting (instead of just normal composting) because it's much accelerated. If you avoid putting meat/animal products in the bin, there'll be no smells except that "fresh soil" smell.

@powerllama Actually I don't know that I can point to a single resource; I actually got my start just Googling around and reading random stuff on the Internet! Still, I like GardenWeb's Vermicomposting forum: http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/verm/

Good morning folks. If you're into gardening, I wrote a blog post this weekend detailing a compost experiment of mine: http://therealjacqui.tumblr.com/post/44391052062/starting-seeds-plain-seed-starter-mix-vs-compost

Kinda feeling like my first app.net post should be something along the lines of one of my first Twitter posts. https://twitter.com/ejacqui/statuses/1525193
