@walruscp wow. Not a huge loss IMO. It was never the best, but it was ok.

@walruscp really?! Was there an announcement?

Looks like Phraseology's versioning system makes it incompatible with Scrivener's sync capabilities, but iA Writer should work fine instead. Just looking for something prettier than Elements.

@blenderhead skynet just went online…and you wouldn’t believe what it did next!

There is something incredibly exciting in receiving, amidst the bills and the junk, a real handwritten letter from another person, especially when that person is someone you look up to and admire.

Doing research for a new book and I'm looking for insight into how artwork is verified and acquired at museums and/or auction houses. If you know of anyone who could answer some questions, I'd be super grateful. Thanks!

@amahnke one big area of word count: how to market your work. 50k+? novel 30-45k? novella Less than that? Short story Especially useful if you’re wondering how to pitch it to agents/editors.

@wickedgood But I read some of the "conversations" on this topic last week. I know I'm in the minority here (re: Eich's removal), where progressive thinking = berating people into believing what they're "supposed" to believe. I'm not interested. @remus

@wickedgood That people are inherently awful? Yes. Yes I do. @remus

@wickedgood And I don't buy "but it's a public facing position." Every position is public facing. As an employee, you are representing the company when you go out. Tim Cook was CTO and a public face of Apple. @remus

@wickedgood I've learned people don't change. Maybe their facade does, but they don't. And on the rare instance they do change, it's not for the better. That said, his views weren't a problem prior to his promotion. @remus
