“Hi, I got the same issue here: nivo slider doesn't work properly in IE8 compatibility mode; if you disable that mode, then works fine.” —https://drupal.org/comment/6066806#comment-6066806 Well, they sure got a solution to all problems.

“Imagine you have a significant other who reveals they have a video tape of a sexual encounter from a prior relationship and offers to show it to you. Would you want to see it?” —Match question on OkCupid. I guess it happened to someone.

“Don't even bother if: You're one of those fedora-wearing «nice guys», constantly finding themselves trapped in the «friend-zone.»” —From some random girls profile on OkCupid. :-O I think I have found the winner of OkCupid.

@zeerakw Agreed—If I had a kids I would try to teach them how to build a compasses using magnets, create maps, build pinhole cameras, make music, etc., and whenever a computer can be used, show them how to apply that knowledge to a computers.

@zeerakw but it depend on what you do in front of your screen. If you use it do anything creative, I can’t see the problem. Also, kids playing computer; if they play the right games, they might learn something. Minecraft, Civilization, etc., is all good.

The Markdown Data Handler for Écoule is now very configurable; It should handle a whole lot of use cases—Assign which keys it should use as data input and which keys should be used as output on data objects. Custom metadata fetchers can easily be defined.

@tap5 Now, that I can work with! Working on adding custom meta data fields on the Markdown file-handler at the moment though.

I might have found a new name for Écoute. Écoule. It means «a flow», and that is what the project is.

@tap5 Hmm, they have a build in editor (a pretty cool one, too). If my project should work with this it should be able to import some kind of file format, and I can’t see that happening in the interface. There must be something similar for slides on gh.

I’ve just found another software project that uses the same name as my open source project «Écoute.» They used the name first, so I’m thinking about finding another name. Suggestions are welcome. https://github.com/gausby/ecoute/issues/1

@tap5 What was the name of the HTML presentation deck/slide framework you mentioned yesterday?

Going to talk about my open source project Écoute tomorrow in Lund, Sweden. You should come by if you like improv presentations. Today I’ll work on a working example, that is simple, but still explains the possibilities using Écoute.

@zeerakw I’m thinking about writing a bit more about my open source projects that I have on my github, and keep my posts about atheism over at twitter.

The core of my static page generator-generator has been released. I need some examples and some actual working generators build using the generator. But it is good that it is out there. Good, and stressful. * https://github.com/gausby/ecoute #node.js

The static page generator-generator I’m building in #node.js is pretty close to not being vapourware anymore. I don’t know how many times I’ve thought that during development. Anyway—It is still being developed, and it is pretty close to a public release

@tap5 My only pull-request I’ve received so far was a correction of a spelling error. The system works.
