@shauncollins You're welcome. Thanks again. Hopefully your day will be slightly less boring with a bunch of HN stories to read now. :)

@shauncollins D'oh! Thanks for the heads up! I've been really busy at work so I shut down Cauldron to avoid distraction and look what happens! (HN changed their HTML formatting a bit, so my parser was failing.)

Had no idea what "Gloving" was until I saw this project. >> @ks_hardware: The Kinetic [www.kickstarter.com] The first of its kind — a microlight that dynamically reacts to your movement. Launched 53 minutes ago in #Hardware. At 120% with 142 backers.

@mcdemarco Oh, is the GMT-in-my-calendars an iOS 8 bug?! I just thought all my events got messed up when I went to Europe!

The Martian is $3 on kindle. Great sf story. You should read it before the movie comes out. http://amzn.to/1yoYHex

@blumenkraft Yes, that would definitely break things. :) I try to be a "stream completionist", so maintaining state (and thus easily being able to switch between desktop and mobile) is one of the most important things to me. @ludolphus
                eg
@blumenkraft @ludolphus Similarly, when I return to iOS, I expect the app to read the SM whenever it enters the foreground, retrieve the posts near the marker, and scroll me there. That allows "seamless" hand-off between mobile and desktop.
                  eg
@blumenkraft @ludolphus Cauldron is my gold standard. It works exactly how I expect when "Jump to Stream Marker" is enabled. As long as my "mobile app of choice" writes the SM when applicationDidEnterBackground, Cauldron is at the right spot on my desktop.
                    eg
@ludolphus Very good to hear. I will wait for the next update and then provide feedback. My biggest issue with cients is with stream markers. Whenever applicationDidBecomeActive, it would be nice if it retrieved the SM, got nearby posts, and scrolled there

@mandyd I usually get them at GNC. They have a lot of different "flavors" to choose from too.

@mandyd I like Quest bars. The brownie one is really good. If you put them in the microwave for a few seconds, they are even better slightly warm. :-) image [chimp.li]

@ludolphus Are you still actively developing Chimp? If so, is there a place to send feature/enhancement requests?

So http://www.jetitup.com is pretty slick. It "provides you with an easy way to track your flight history and see interesting statistics, maps and infographics about your time in the air." Nice dashboard of all your flight data.

@duerig I'm way behind in my stream, but wanted to mention Monoprice [www.monoprice.com] (and others) have releaseable zip ties. Of course they're more expensive, but sometimes the convenience is worth it.

@liss When I stopped getting Broadcasts, I just assumed you were no longer paying attention to A•n at all. I was surprised to get a reply from you here (but certainly appreciate it!) I'm still a big fan of A•n's "platform as a service" concept. @marco

@mandyd ProTip: if you check the box in iTunes to encrypt your backups, next time you have to restore, it will also restore all your passwords, including any WiFi hotspots you had to authenticate to.

In the latest ATP [atp.fm] @liss and @marco talk about A•n again and how nobody "complained" when Casey stopped Broadcasting when @atpfm went live. I noticed they stopped, but given the negativity they've expressed for A•n, didn't think it was worth bringing up.
