@joanna heard back from the home warranty folks. They are going to replace the whole unit. Thank goodness for home warranty. We wouldn't be able to handle that hit right now.

Heating and air guy is here. Hopefully he's able to fix our unit so that we can have some heat. He said it may just be a bad compressor.

After December being about 70 degrees we now have snow. Looks like winter decided to show up. It's not heavy but I'll take it. 🙂

Tried Apple Pay for the first time today using my watch. The process went smooth but it declined my card. Lame.

Kind of excited that I found out this morning that our credit union finally supports Apple Pay. Still don't have a mobile app to be able to deposit checks but I'd prefer this feature first. Now to find some places to use it.

@thedadams cool. I may give it a shot then. That was one reason I gave up on using bill pay through the bank. Was kind of pointless since I was having to go to each site to look up the amount each month.

@thedadams that's nice. Does it pull in what the amount of the bill is to see it all on their site or do you have to enter that on your own? That was my understanding.

Has anybody used Mint Bills [www.mint.com] before? Or a similar service? I like the concept but not sure if it's worth it.

                    Happy New Years everybody.

@0xmf I've mainly used it to store images I share on here. I've used @orbit on my Mac to share screen shots on some forum posts before.

@jmreekes I got the Nikon D5100, I believe, last Christmas and I have intentionally tried to avoid auto as well. It's helped me learn a lot.

@jnm I like the locally installed version as well but I do like the new version though. One feature I like so far is that syncing with mobile seems to be a little more stable. We've had trouble with using Dropbox for sync a couple of times.

@chriskrycho nice. I started with a fresh budget to reevaluate our categories while we're trying out the free trial. Liking it so far.

@baldown looks like the new site just went live. Or at least I just noticed it. It is web and mobile only now. No more desktop version. But they will still support the desktop version for a while. http://www.youneedabudget.com @0xmf @joanna

@0xmf YNAB is the first budgeting tool that has worked for me. It's helped my wife and I get control of our finances and get ahead where we weren't living paycheck to paycheck. @baldown

@baldown I agree. I've seen others complain about the subscription model but I don't mind if the software is worth it and is as useful as YNAB is. @akulbe @oluseyi @chriskrycho

@baldown I was planning that out yesterday. 😁

@baldown haha ain't that the truth. Same here.

@baldown for real. That was the first thing I checked when I got up this morning. It's like second Christmas lol.
