@glennf The bar or cost is that most people don’t know anyone on it! (You’re the only non-automated account still active that I follow.)

@dalton @ablaze They’re both speaking with words they don’t quite understand. Buzzwords!

Wait - Chrome and Safari render colors differently?
        dbreunig
@ablaze I feel like you need to talk with the MapBox team.
          dbreunig
@ablaze At least iMessage let’s you message out to non iOS users in a way that’s barely perceptible to the user
            dbreunig
@ablaze Perhaps. But I worry about this much more, off twitter, with every walled-off chat protocol that arrises (Gchat, Facebook Messenger, iMessage, Whatapp, Pinger, Path, etc, etc)
              dbreunig
@ablaze plus, if you’re convinced it will happen on twitter, I can’t see a reason why the same logic wouldn’t apply to every network of that size
                dbreunig
@ablaze Then I’m more bullish. Currently I unfollow if its an issue. Don’t see the future being different.
                  dbreunig
@ablaze Eh. If I get one promoted tweet every hundred updates, I’d consider that an even trade if the mass is still there
                    dbreunig
@ablaze If Twitter’s total growth is greater than the promotion growth, I’m not sure that would matter to users
                      dbreunig
@ablaze I'll take that bet. Define your milestone for 'desertification'

Apple services I've cut off or stopped using, in order: - Siri - Maps - iTunes Match - iMessage

@ablaze @chartier I always figured the trade off was the sum of the community you brought with you versus the community that is reluctant to change habits. And they type of writing you'd like to create.

@dalton Thanks. It's a more firm instance of other shim-tech like toolbar, the Diggbar.

@chartier And all of these Glass use cases involve recording *days* of footage. None of these people are going to have the time to edit this down to anything presentable.
