@cartazio@jspahrsummers FWIW the formula in mxcl/homebrew _should_ at least work and I’ll do my best to see it stays that way (their current changes where mostly style related IIRC). But the tap will probably remain the best option going forward.
@cartazio@jspahrsummers@lukexi I haven’t gotten to updating cabal-install or haskell platform formulas though so I can’t say anything about whether they work. On 10.9/Xcode 5, I install GHC formula and bootstrap cabal manually ATM.
@cartazio@jspahrsummers@lukexi if you install 7.6.3 through homebrew, it does this already btw. I am essentially maintaining that formula now. My most recent stuff will always be at darinmorrison/homebrew-haskell tap.
@cartazio@jspahrsummers@lukexi easiest solution: install apple-gcc42 from homebrew then edit the GHC settings file to use /usr/local/bin/gcc-4.2. Exact details once I’m in front of computer. Don’t use clang with current Haskell stuff, not worth hassle.
