Looks like over >250,000 posts have been created on App.net so far. I would estimate ~50% of posts were created by third party clients, which is a good sign. Hopefully that percentage continues to grow.

@dalton Is there any word on an "official" App.net app?

@dalton how many were made by app.net employees?

@dalton My guess is that as soon as the first client makes it into the iOS app store that percentage will blow up.

@sng Third parties will always trail the official site. That's not necessarily a bad thing, as long as the official site doesnt have special permissions.

@dalton awesome, keep up the good work. Very promising platform. It's great to be apart of something like this in its infancy.

@dalton how many users at this point?

@rms based on this: http://friendfind.co/popular.php I would estimate slightly over 1%

@sng totally agreed. Waiting for apps to get approved is making me (and a lot of other people) very impatient

@stephendixon based on the number of high quality apps in development, we aren't going to build one.

@dalton I can still claim to have read about one tenth of all ADN posts... I think we were a bit past 25k at the fundraiser deadline?

@adn @dalton wow, congratulations! That statement just says it all! Can you imagine Twitter boasting about how many tweets were posted through 3rd party apps?!

@dalton awesome! Third party apps was what sold me on twitter. It's what gave twitter the boost it needed when mobile was on the rise.
