Woah Apple claims they own 2 letter prefixes in Objective-C Class names, you need to use at least 3 letter prefixes http://d.pr/ffXf

@cocoasamurai I thought that'd been conventional wisdom for a while now, especially given how many people got clobbered by MapKit, CoreImage, NewsstandKit, StoreKit...

@rgm I think it was a recommendation before, this afaik is the first time apple is explicitly stating they own 2 letter prefixes

@cocoasamurai Ah, ok. I'd just counted myself lucky that my own last name didn't start with K.

@cocoasamurai That’s not new news. Apple told us to avoid two-letter prefixes years ago.

@kevinhoctor it was a recommendation before now, now it's explicitly spelled out in documentation

@cocoasamurai I treat recommendations like compiler warnings. ;)

@kevinhoctor still this is kinda ridiculous, we need some sort of namespace mechanism in Objective-C stat. It still seems like Class Prefixes are a failing of the language design

@cocoasamurai @kevinhocter Pity Apple doesn’t stick to its own rules: SceneKit (prefix SCN).
