@spacekatgal ironically enough, the thing that's keeping you from using Safari with MNDP is meant to be a very user-forward privacy measure (it just has side-effects which are unpleasant)

@spacekatgal if it's the same problem I'm thinking of (it might not be), it's related to being unable to set cross-domain cookies in an iframe, which is done to keep ad networks, etc., from being able to set cookies to track ad views.

@spacekatgal I’ll use chrome on occasion but from the guest account.

@spacekatgal kind of throwing the baby out with the bathwater, IMO. I use Chrome and don't think much about it.

@spacekatgal Chrome is super fast and highly extensible. It’s been my browser of choice pretty much since it became available.

@iconmaster I need to embrace Chrome. Already switching over for particular sites that don't work on Firefox. Can't stand Safari. Never last more than 5 to 10 minutes.

@spacekatgal I made the Safari->Chrome switch a few months ago. I couldn’t take it anymore. Plus, the Chrome extensions actually serve to protect your privacy if you choose the right ones.

@spacekatgal Socialfixer tweaks Facebook nicely to behave more humanely. PrivacyFix helps you tweak so your privacy isn’t raped by settings you forgot to set properly. You can also use extensions to do things like make DuckDuckGo your search engine.

@spacekatgal I also use Chrome’s built-in plugin blocker that works like ClickToPlugin but without any need to add an extension. Really helps a lot.
