@spacekatgal The only scary part about that is that we were once in our 20s and did all the same things. Oh god, I've been at the same place since my 20s. They all probably remember those things!
Time to find a new job
@joshpennington@spacekatgal Oh God. I know I made several graybeards slap their foreheads...“Kid, toss that stuff you learned in school out the window. You’re in the real world now”..And they were right.
@spacekatgal I work across a bunch of teams, from engineers (software and builds-physical-stuff) to sales, in a pretty granola-fit town. We get *all kinds* of interesting ideas about “work appropriate” attire and activity. Fun.
@spacekatgal Your a feeling machine that thinks. Not saying what your saying is wrong. But peoples conclusions are often colored more by their emotions than they like to think. Even people following a scientific method backed by data can often fail.
@spacekatgal so because it's what you've experienced that means its the rule for all then?
I am not disputing your experiences; I am just saying that your statement is a gross generalization that many can dispute and many can relate.
@spacekatgal I couldn't agree more. That's why I found your comment a generalization. Age doesn't matter, years of experience and relevance matters. Sometimes a 2x yo will be better than a 3x yo, and vice versa.
