@spacekatgal I like that. I think I would get into it at a club, but it might be a bit too aggro for my everyday listen (I have some skrillex though) My everyday is more Sasha, Digweed, Sander Kleinenberg like: http://bit.ly/X4jjJT or Beats Antique-ish
@spacekatgal More like that would be like Coma by Sasha, http://j.mp/QED2ge …for something little off the wall I like the Avalanches. This whole album is comprised of samples: http://j.mp/QEE8IM (admittedly not for everyone) Grabbed track 5 from your link!
@spacekatgal I wouldn't call it analogous to 'romantic elements' in a movie.
When all the instrumentation in a (say, pop) track is electronic, and it has a driving artificial beat (+120BPM) - it's hard to argue against it being an EDM track also.
@spacekatgal Lovely statement. I am with you on this, though dance music varies in style and hence tastes vary. I tend towards the wonderful mixes and music of Osunlade, Ron Trent, Francois K. and others on the “deep house” side of things.
@spacekatgal I'm curious, though, as to why you think MoS-style house isn't accessible to the broader population?
I feel it tends to be produced very accessibly. It's fun to dance to, easy to listen to. Doesn't have much discord (it's hardly autechre!)
