@jordan UIKit renders into CALayer which can't do sub-pixel antialiasing (text in layer can rotate, for example.) Limitation on iOS and in Chameleon.

@tgaul Cmd-W will close the active window (even though there's no close box visible.)

@jury Also, good luck sandboxing a version with Sparkle: it can't modify the app bundle.

@jury Depends on whether you see the non-MAS version as a trial or permanent version of the software. For dev tools, it's often a trial because MAS makes it MUCH easier to setup your toolchain.

@jury Separate bundle IDs. Very confusing for trial users after MAS purchase if you use one bundle ID. Also: http://furbo.org/2011/03/09/mac-app-store-guide/

@moltz Better yet, a perfect name for @amyjane's new blog.

@amyjane Seriously, check your attic for nests (and the mysteriously missing poop.)

@amyjane Are there any wires into the house from the street? Don't assume they stay on the ground…

@jimray At 52, I'm finding that font pretty damn hard to read, especially in the lists of data. For me, it's going to be a case of putting up with the faults in order to get the functionality. And that's the worst thing of all…

@timhaines Yes, sounds easy. Then you discover you're dealing with multiple asynchronous operations with non-unique identifiers that have independent backfill gaps and references to other identifiers.

@siracusa The reason that a lot of clients don't support it: it's really hard/expensive to implement. Think of each timeline as a SQL table and then doing OUTER JOIN to coalesce the rows. Also: won't scale well on server, so better handled at the client.

Serious question: is anyone from Twitter on here?

Could they have made it any harder to get into the Lightning USB cable box?

What if Apple included a pass for a 10% discount on accessories with EVERY iPhone they sell? Marketeers would see the value IMMEDIATELY.

Passbook should ship with some default passes that show how it can be used for product marketing. And some marketeer crack, like LinkedIn.

As developers and customers, we immediately see the awesome potential of Passbook. The problem is that it has to appeal to the marketeers.
