@mrbeefy Hmm. I haven’t watched the UK one yet—will do after the US—but I enjoyed the first season well enough. They were clearly searching for exactly what Michael Scott would be though, and he’s become more endearing/defined post Season 1. @tonyskyday
@jaredsinclair What are some others? Or, what would you say inspired The Office (aside from the UK)?
Go back and rewatch the P&R pilot. It ain’t superficial. It’s borderline plagiarism.
If Dwight Schrute isn’t zany, I don’t know what is.
@mrbeefy Hmm. How long of a commitment is it before that happens?
I found it almost embarrassing how much the “creators” aped how The Office is shot in the Pilot. Amy Poehler’s character might as well have been named Michelle Scott.
@jeffhunsberger I liked Byword a lot, but their iOS app has become unusably slow & laggy. That led me to Daedalus which led me to Ulysses.
Having everything I’ve written on one space is also great. I prefer it to a bunch of files.
@imyke It goes beyond mumbling. When you speak, I have to turn the volume up, making your cohorts much too loud. I stopped listening to the last episode.
No douchiness intended, but if this is your desired career path, “apologies” aren’t enough.
