@seanblezard “sustaining innovation not sufficient now”? You’re sounding very corporate :-) (My monthly jaunt onto app.net)

@seanblezard not being catholic it’s the closest I get to confession.

@seanblezard Probably the right time to confess to downloading Bruno Mars’ latest release…

@seanblezard Mark seems fine but various interesting departures at our former employer. Speaking of employment (or at least earning of revenue) what’s next on your plan?

@seanblezard saw Mr. Savage briefly on Tuesday.

@seanblezard you could think back to days at Barclays. That might wind you up…

@ashmoran and they will probably grow up to be a project manager.

@ashmoran could this be more of a reflection on the quality of the tests than the TDD approach to documentation?
                  andyl
@ashmoran I stick all my home tasks on a backlog. If I don’t allocate time to that backlog at least that is a conscious decision.

@seanblezard @ashmoran I think it suffers from the same thing as a lot of software-related implementations. People take one thing (agile, patterns, etc) and use it to extremes in all contexts on the basis that it works well for them in another context

@ashmoran no surprise. I wonder if any of the current set of economic gurus have studies Keynesian economics and what happened during and after the Great Depression. The financial markets take us all for idiots and, unfortunately, our politicians collude

@ashmoran @kevinrutherford did I miss something here? Can you get twitter traffic in NetBot?

@ashmoran @seanblezard this would also mean that they might learn team skills like persuading reluctant team members to put the effort in so they all get better grades. Far more like the real world.
                            andyl
@ashmoran @seanblezard we are educated that way. All key assignments and graded tasks are individual. Nothing graded is teamwork. Would be better if students rotated around groups and their grades were averaged based on those groups.

@seanblezard I suspect that most if them have never been within a country mile of code #pointyHairedBoss

@ashmoran I really liked Ricardo Semmler’s book. Read it years ago when I was reading things like Handy and Peters.

@ashmoran where is the nearest pub that serves decent cider?

@ashmoran thought workers aren’t what they used to be..,

@seanblezard 17/19/20 could all work for me. Where us best to meet up? Manchester might be a bit if a push for time. Anywhere part way between altrincham and Bolton spring to mind (probably Manchester :-( )
