@imyke thanks, the excellent feedback that I got from your show and others really demonstrated the power of the medium to me. Hopefully I get good enough at it that I can still be a guest on great shows like yours :)

@dalton thank you Sir. If you need any help with anything just feel free to ask :) Podcasting is really great fun and a great way to share thoughts. You’re going to love it

@ablaze we will see how it goes in practice, but there are a lot of reasons to spend the time doing it :)

@imyke will do. I think getting the whole thing working end-to-end in iTunes etc for the first episode is step 1 /cc @ben

@dalton since the podcast isn’t on iTunes yet - is there a URL I can use to get the episode in a podcast app like Instacast?
                dalton
@bryanjclark you can download the raw MP3 from the Soundcloud player, which should work in just about anywhere

Sweet. @dalton drops nuclear-powered knowledge in the first official ADN podcast episode, including some key startup insights you won't see on Bravo. ;) *Highly* recommended listening for all. (Thanks for this, man!) http://bit.ly/UHq2SL

@dalton Is there an RSS feed I can use to subscribe to this?

@dalton The @imyke’s CMD+Space interview was very insightful, so I’m sure this is going to be great! Going to check it out…

@dalton good work man. This will be a great resource to keep up to date. Especially on those API changes that one as a non-dev easily misses. Also Vidcast? I completely missed that. Sounds brilliant. Where can I find it?
                            dalton
@alexk here you go: http://vidcast-app.net/ The jukebox app runs all the time :)

@ben it’s only ever a couple of days. Max

@dalton will there be transcripts for these?

@fields any idea if there a useful automated way to do transcripts? If not, given our current resources, probably not(?) /cc @ben

@dalton @ben jeez, I don’t know. Surely there’s an SF startup addressing this problem?

@dalton def looking forward to tuning in :-)

@fields @dalton @ben I know @macsparky & @katiefloyd looked into transcripts for their MPU podcast but determined it wouldn’t be cost effective…but maybe they can provide some better insight into this. For now, just a few show notes would probably be fine.

@dalton @fields @ben I've got some time to kill tonight. May just have to spend some of it transcribing.

@dalton @fields @ben I grossly underestimated the work that goes into this.

@dalton @fields @ben I might be able to transcribe this in an automated fashion. Can give it a whirl Thursday evening. Will report back.

@dalton great podcast. It made me feel good to hear about the future of @ADN. The only sad part is that designers don't seem to be mentioned as any key in this movement.

                                                                                    33mhz
@po Bummer. Smart people say software isn't there yet; the degree of accuracy increased by doing by-hand is worth it over software. Dragon can do wav, but any s/n throws it, + still have to train for your voice. We'll just have @dalton write it first :)

It would also be interesting to find ways to help devs and designers connect and innovate. Possibly a designer directory?

If that makes sense. UI is the face of these experiences.
                                                                                                    dalton

Having a future where Designers see a potential, sign up, and allow devs to grab a designer who understands the system and is a member as well as grabbing their API kit could be very powerful.

A high quality piece of software invariably is the result of collaboration between programmers, designers, testers, product people, etc.

I guess I just see designers as an asset to the "kit" like APIs are. If a new dev wants to start a new app he would currently have to hunt for a designer who understands ADN. I understand your point though.

I guess I just heard a lot of suggestions on using the API from a function perspective and not thoughts on visual implementations.
