@dalton@jesriera I still don't understand why everyone says the 17" is too heavy/bulky/etc. Sure, it's bigger than the new super thin stuff Apple has now, but it's not a huge burden to transport or anything. I still see many laptop PCs that are bulkier.
@ablaze I transitioned from the 13" to the 11" and it's fantastic. Runs a 27" Cinema display when I'm at the office. Just needs two things to be perfect: Retina and touch. A higher RAM ceiling would be nice, but for my work, 4 GB has been fine.
@rrbrambley@dalton@jesriera I’ve went the other way. I used to get anything I could to have more screen real estate, but years after I switched to Mac and changed to more minimalist workflows for what I do, I’m down to the size of the 11” MacBook Air.
@rrbrambley@dalton It’s heavy compared with a MBA or if you have to take it with you everyday as I used to. Apart from that, the reason why I got it is still valid: it’s awesome working with a 17’’ screen. A MBPr 17’’ would be awesome.
@rrbrambley@dalton@jesriera I love my 2011 17” but since I started walking and biking more my back informs me that an Air or a 13” retina might be a good idea. What we really need is a Thunderbolt Display which folds up. 😜⚡
@rcg@dalton@pilgrim I bought a 15” to save a bit of money, in retrospect I wish I’d bought a 17”. Though interestingly enough, apparently the 17” doesn’t have an SD card slot, which the others do have.
